Orange Wolverhampton

The Chris Allen Podcast

Sunday, 8 December 2024 - 18 minutes

The annual Orange Wolverhampton campaign ran from Monday 25 November to December 10th to raise awareness of the city’s continuing drive to end domestic abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, so-called honour-based violence, sexual violence and stalking and harassment.

Information for each campaign can be found on www.orangewolves.net.

On three successive Sundays in my lunchtime show I spoke respectively with Cllr Obaida Ahmed (Cabinet member for Digital and Community), Cllr Jas Dehar (Chair of Interfaith Wolverhampton) and Cllr Leigh New (pictured above), who bravely shared with me her story on live radio.

This podcast features excerpts from those conversations.
