We hear regularly of young people losing their lives through knife crime. Mark Brindley lost his son, James, just under seven years ago. Here he talks movingly about witnessing paramedics trying to save James' life and the impact on the family.

He also talks about the pioneering work being delivered through the James Brindley Foundation seeking to end youth violence with a full stop.

This interview was recorded and transmitted in February 2024, but published as a podcast on 8th March in the light of a tragic stabbing in West Park, Wolverhampton.
