Former Mayor and Park Ward Councillor Claire Darke has been awarded an MBE for services to Local Government, to Disability and to Suicide Prevention.
She joined Chris, Kirstie Westwood and William Stoorey in WCRFM's studio to reflect on her award and the causes close to her heart.
When Mayor of the city between 2019 and 2021, Claire raised money for the Wolverhampton Suicide Prevention Stakeholder Forum as one of her nominated charities to raise funds for the work that goes on in Wolverhampton by all the organisations that are active in the city around suicide prevention (https://win.wolverhampton.gov.uk/kb5/wolverhampton/directory/service.page?id=5_TFMj7QUfk).
