The Social Media Content Creator Bootcamp for Business is aimed at any business looking to up-skill a member of staff so that they can make social media work better - building an audience with high quality content and devising effective marketing strategies across platforms.
The training covers effective and tailored use of social platforms, writing and story-telling, use of AI, Google Ads, analytics tools and the whole arc of producing effective content - from deciding what content works to production with in-depth coaching on high quality filming and photography with a smartphone, along with picture editing and use of graphics.
The BlackRook Academy team of industry experts has been successfully delivering this training for 18 months - and now the WMCA has extended its funding offer to businesses region-wide with heavily subsidised pricing, meaning the course can be delivered for just a few hundred pounds per head.
Here's an overview of that opportunity with some dates.
BlackRook Academy is offering 14 weeks of training, delivered as one day per week 'day release' study.
Those 14 weeks cover 148 hours of learning, assignments and industry mentor feedback.
It looks like this:
Onboarding Day - an 8-hour day (0930-1730 including a working lunch with catering provided) at the Paget Road campus of City of Wolverhampton College. On this day BlackRook Academy's lecturers will workshop and agree with you and your nominated up-skiller staff member(s) your practical requirements and priorities. The focus is on a return on your investment across the course, making sure we work with you to build an audience throughout the 14 weeks. This day can involve employers joining their nominated 'up-skiller' staff at no extra cost.
Study Weeks - 12 x 8-hour days at one day per week. 84 hours of face-to-face interactive lectures, as approved by the West Midlands Combined Authority
On-the-Job Assignments - a further 48 hours in self-directed assignments relative to your business need (four hours a week to be delivered as suits you and your staff member).
Presentation Day - BlackRook Academy invites employers to again join them at the conclusion of the course for an an 8-hour presentation and feedback day - involving an analytics-led celebration of progress made, the work created and a presentation of industry completion certificates to all of the 'up-skillers'. This day runs 0930-1730, including a working lunch with catering provided.
Cost: 90 per cent funded by WMCA (for companies with 250 employees or fewer) = £338, payable in advance. If you employ more than 250 people, the cost is £1,014.
